Nearly 2 billion people live in water-stressed areas of the world and 3 billion people have no running water within a kilometer of their homes.  In 2010 the United Nations General Assembly overwhelmingly agreed to a resolution declaring the human right to “safe and clean drinking water and sanitation.”  Likewise on the environmental side, the misuse of water is compromising the future of all life on the planet.   If you monitor water, you are faced with enormous amounts of environmental data. Information on what is happening with water systems is a key to addressing these issues. 

Aquatic Informatics (AI) has developed unique productivity software for the rapidly growing water and climate monitoring industry. AI is primarily focused on providing solutions to federal, state/provincial or local governments, as well as academics and consultants, who collect and analyze large volumes of environmental data to the North American and Australasian markets. Key North American clients include the United States Geological Society (the world’s largest water monitoring agency), and Environment Canada’s Water Survey Canada. AI is also partnering with Greenspan, a subsidiary of Tyco Environmental Solutions to jointly develop and market complete solutions in Australia, South East Asia and the Middle East.
